About 2008-0170 Flora
FLORA - 1-5 years old, 58.9 pounds, friendly but shy at first, good on leash, playful, active, needs time to warm up to you, reactive towards other dogs, might be good with cats, some kids ok.
I saw the shiny soft looking coat on this beautiful girl and she begged for me to get her out of the cage. Although nervous with new people, she was ok with me entering her cage as I moved gingerly. After a few moments of sniffing me all over, she was good to go. Please know I maintained slow gentle movements as I harnessed her, no need to scare her when she's warming up to me. Outside she was active and wanted to run. She chased and jumped for the toys but only carried them around a short distance where she dropped them to move along to see other dogs outside the fence. She was very reactive to these other dogs. I cannot tell if she is frustrated bc she wants to be near them or if she just doesn't like them. When we find more out we will be sure to update her profile here. We think Flora might be ok with cats but remember, supervision in the home and a way to escape the dog should the kitty need it is very important. Slow introductions, no need to rush. We also think Flora might be ok with children. Bring your kids in to meet her and don't forget chaperoning dogs and kids in a home (and possibly cats in this situation) is definitely on your daily to-do list should you choose to adopt. Flora is fun and pretty and will need daily exercise, playtime and training.
