No adoption event or special fee weekend necessary!*** JAMES - 6 years old, 55 pounds, house trained, loving & affectionate when he knows you, smart, sensitive, excited for walks/treats/meals, no other pet, no young children. Arriving at the shelter over a year ago, deep copper colored James was apprehensive. We didn't know anything about this boy except what we saw with our own eyes. Fast forward to today--James is a sweet, affectionate guy who absolutely loves going for walks, getting treats and of course mealtime! He loves running and playing. He chases toys and balls but doesn't always bring them back. Such a silly, goofy boy. James is still shy when meeting new people so slow introductions are vital to this boy adapting to a new household with a new routine successfully. James would be best in a more quiet home with infrequent visitors. And in the home, James is well behaved although having a crate he can call his own safe place is important. He can be a bit more uncomfortable with men so please keep this in mind. He also does not care for the company of other dogs.
