Hi! I’m Mason! I’m in a foster home; read below to learn more about me!
I’m in a foster home but still looking for my forever home! I’ve settled in nicely and I’m told that I’m easy & pretty low maintenance in my foster home!
Some other great news about me:
- I’m potty trained!
- And crate trained. I don’t stay in a crate now because I can be trusted when I’m left alone!
- I don’t chew things that I’m not supposed to.
- I’m good in the car & love to go for rides.
- I love to explore and sniff – lots of sniffing!
How am I with other dogs?
- When I was at the shelter, staff said I was friendly and social and that I loved to be with other friendly, social dogs. I was in playgroup with other dogs, but after a while, the shelter stress just got to me and playgroup wasn’t fun for me anymore.
- I don’t hang out with other dogs now; the other dog in my foster home isn’t really that friendly so we stay separated. Every so often I try to engage with her but she’s just not a fan.
Some other facts about me:
- I’m about 55 lbs.
- I was found as a stray and no one came to claim me so I stayed at the shelter for many months - this was very scary for me.
My foster families say:
- I’m pretty quiet, friendly, and affectionate. I love attention & affection!
- I’m one of the sweetest fosters ever! Every morning, I greet my fosters with a wiggly, happy body and a toy in my mouth – yes, every single day!
Some final thoughts:
- I’m learning to trust humans; they’re really not so scary. It still takes time for me to get to know you, but once I feel safe & comfy with you, we’re friends for life!
- But I still would do better in an adult home or home with older kids.
- I’m still a scaredy at times; I’m learning to be brave and to walk in my neighborhood without being too scared.
