FOSTER UPDATE!

Rosebud is very cautious and shy at first on meeting new people but once she warms up to you, she will ask for infinite pets!

She’s good to be around older kids but not recommended for families with infants at this time. Rosebud gets very excited, jumps on you, wiggles her butt and wags her tail and has the biggest smile!

She loves playing frisbee. She jumps really high! She loves her zoomies out in the yard.

She gets along with other dogs but on the cautious side when it comes to smaller pups. She loves to go out on a walk around the neighborhood. Made a few friends already!

And boy, does she love to ruunnnn and explore the trails!!

I took her to first landing state park, I ran for 9 miles and she went with me! Lots of energy, so make sure she gets her daily walks (30 mins at least) or even a play time of frisbee or tag out in the fence yard.

She loves car rides but the thought of getting in the car is a little bit challenging.

I don’t think she knows how big she is because she loves sitting on my lap while watching tv. Lol. She loves family time!

She is a fan of waffles, bananas, apples, cheese and especially bread! She doesn’t like blueberries and broccoli. Haha.

So far, Rosebud has learned basic commands such as sit, wait, slow, stop and come back.

With the daily walks and weekly runs, she has improved on leash. She doesn’t pull the leash as much as before. She’s learned that when I tug a little on the leash and say “slow” she would slow down. She’s continuing to learn “come back” and with consistency she will be mastering it!

We’ve had our first campfire last week, and she loved it! She even fell asleep!

Even though she is an energetic gal, she will also sleep majority of the day!

Patience is still needed because she is still working on her separation anxiety. Consistency and routine, seems to be helping her a lot!

Rosebud is house trained - she doesn’t pee or poop inside. Although the first few nights she had an accident. But she has come along way on going outside to pee and poop. She doesn’t chew furniture, rugs or clothes. She loves sleeping on the couch.

Rosebud is still getting crate trained - she’ll go in the crate but she will whine for a good 15 mins or so. She has gotten way better than when we first took her home.

Looking for an affectionate family dog? that’s the definition of Rosebud. Please come meet her! :)

ROSEBUD - 1-5 years old, 55 pounds, friendly, playful.

Rosebud arrived at VBACAC as a stray. We are starting from scratch with figuring out who this pretty black lab mix girl is, what she likes, and what she dislikes.
