Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed (short coat) : : Female : : Adult
LILLY - 6 years old, 50 pounds, house trained, no other pets, good with kids Twice now Lilly has been in a shelter cage due to no fault of her own. The first time, at barely a year old, she was surrendered when allergies came to the human child in the home. This time a change in living arrangements was causing high stress for her. Twice. No fault of her own. Imagine being Lilly. She is barky and protective behind cage bars. This is her shelter personality...for now. When she is comfortable in a home, she is very cuddly, loves being loved on and is very playful. She is nervous with new people. This is her shelter personality...for now. When in an environment she is used to, Lilly is very friendly to humans and even friendly and playful with children. A bit older now with this latest stint in the shelter, it seems Lilly just might need time getting used to new people and a new environment. It took a few meetings before she allowed me to leash her and lead her out. I noticed her following me around the yard even though she wasn't in my face. She wants to feel comfortable. She wants to have a new friend. She wants to have a new family to love and to love on her. Lilly is a perfect age where she is experienced in being an active member of a loving family. She knows rules, boundaries. She enjoys spending time with her humans and loves to go on walks. Come on in to meet her! If you don't see her, please just ask!
