WINNIE - 1-5 years old, 45 pounds, nervous at first Nervous behind cage bars, beautiful blue with floppy ears Winnie was still open to allowing me to leash her and walk her out. She will need some time to warm up to new people. She was aware of everything going on around us outside the yard. She would stand at attention when other dogs walked by. She sniffed and investigated this unfamiliar world. She did take some treats and was pretty good on the leash prob bc she would stop to sniff everything. Winnie is one of those dogs who kept going to the gate, looking for a way out of this place she didn't know. I kept her on a long lead just in case. Time. Patience. Training. Remember, she doesn't have to be perfect right from the start. If she doesn't sit for a treat right away, that's ok. Give her time.
